Clinical Reasoning: Rhymes, Reflection and Reason

Clinical Reasoning: Rhymes, Reflection and Reason is a reflective exploration of what it means to reason well in contemporary clinical practice. Blending poetry, case-based narrative, systems thinking and structured decision-making frameworks, the book traces the evolution of diagnostic thought, from its philosophical origins to the complexity of modern primary care and First Contact Practice. Rather than presenting clinical reasoning as a fixed model, the work invites clinicians to slow down, reflect and consider how professional judgement develops in uncertain and evolving healthcare environments. It integrates academic foundations with lived clinical experience, offering both conceptual depth and practical insight.
